Dear LGI Community,

We are acutely aware of the difficult times many of you will be facing due to the uncertainty of the current situation with COVID-19. We are all in an unprecedented moment and at LGI we are considering the best way to respond, to ensure we can stay strong as a community and take care of each other over this period.

We have weighed up the pros and cons and it is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of LGI morning class from next Monday, 23rd of March. We know this will have an impact on the connection and well-being of the dancers who come regularly, but after some soul searching have decided it is important to actively participate in the slowing of the spread of the virus so that we can return to normal as soon as possible.

I know that as dancers, not having access to training and the social connection that it brings is tough. We all feel less ourselves when we can’t move together and stay fit and engaged in the practice of our artform. We recognise that access to practice is hugely important and are brainstorming to think of ways to address this in a different way. We will be outlining those plans to you very soon.

Please keep in touch and feel free to email or call us anytime if you have questions or suggestions around the current situation. We are thinking of you all and we feel so blessed that our community is strong and can look out for each other. If you are experiencing distress you can contact the Arts Well Being Collective:
