LGI’s 2020 Residency program is now open for applications.
Deadline: 5pm, Friday 22 November 2019.

These studio-based residencies offer in-kind access to high-quality studio space at WXYZ Studios. Additional support is then tailored to each artist and can include access to daily training through LGI Morning Classes, creative feedback from the LGI team, a dedicated blog post and basic administrative support.

We actively encourage applications from First Nations and CALD artists as well as artists who identify as deaf or disabled, or those identifying as LGBTIQA+.

About the Residencies

Make a Start Residencies are 1 to 2 week residencies for projects in the early stages that are challenging choreographic thinking and exploring new experimental approaches to dance practice. These can be full-time or Out-of-Time (Evenings and Weekends)
Applications are open for January - August 2020.
An additional round will open in mid-2020 for September - December.

Moving Forward Residency are residencies of up to 3 weeks for projects that are ready to refine and consolidate existing ideas into a public presentation. These are full-time residencies only.
Applications are open for January - December 2020.
