We are delighted to announce Kiarn Doyle as the recipient of the LGI First Nations Graduate Internship 2025, in collaboration with NAISDA and Joel Bray Dance.

This paid internship offers a unique program of professional development opportunities for a NAISDA graduate. The program provides a comprehensive experience that includes a four-week paid secondment with LGI and Joel Bray Dance, attendance at industry events, and active participation in Melbourne’s vibrant dance community. This internship aims to provide an enriching introduction to the life of an independent dance artist in Melbourne.

The program is created in collaboration with NAISDA and Joel Bray Dance, reflecting a shared vision of creating new avenues for emerging First Nations dance artists to forge successful careers in the industry. The collaboration celebrates and nurtures the immense talent and creativity of First Nations dancers.

About Kiarn Doyle
Kiarn Doyle is an Aboriginal man from the Dunghutti Nation. He was born in Mullumbimby (Bundjalung country) and raised in the Blue Mountains (Darug/Gundungurra country).

Kiarn started training at PAWS (Performing Arts Western Sydney) during the years of 2012-2016. He then went on to pursue full-time dance training at the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA). Kiarn received awards in Certificate III and IV in dance performance and graduated in 2019 with a Diploma of Dance.

Recently Kiarn was a guest artist with The West Australian Ballet, performing in Ripples choreographed by Tara Gower for Perth Festival. He was a company dancer with Bangarra Dance Theatre from 2020 - 2024. Kiarn has also worked with many esteemed choreographers and dance artists including Natasha Crane, James Barry, Stephen Tannos, Rebecca Lui-Brennan, Frances Rings, Craig Bary, Sani Townson, Raymond D Blanco, Patrick Thaiday, Sidney Saltner and Chantal Kerr.
