We’re thrilled to announce that the next iteration of Out of Bounds will take place at WXYZ Studios on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 April 2024.
Presented by Lucy Guerin Inc and Temperance Hall, Out of Bounds is an exciting choreographic ideas sharing platform.
The program invites 24 Victorian dance artists to present a short showing of their recent choreographic investigations to local audiences, fellow artists and peers. The initiative also provides participants with the opportunity to receive creative feedback about their work, with post-showing discussions facilitated by experienced Victorian dance practitioners.
Out of Bounds seeks to represent dance artists from across all forms, practices, cultures, histories, lineages, styles, disciplines, aesthetics and experimentations. The program’s aim is to show new work in a raw state—providing a generous, open space for artists to take risks and try out their ideas. Works will not be programmed if they are complete or have previously received a public outcome.
Out of Bounds 2024 is curated by LGI’s Artistic Director, Lucy Guerin and former Temperance Hall Artistic Director Dr. Phillip Adams. The EOI will open on Tuesday 5 February!
