Neil Hugh Kenna is a Melbourne based brand and marketing strategist. He is the Founding Director of NHO (Neil Hugh Office), a strategically minded, values-led office for brand strategy and marketing located in Fitzroy.

Upon graduating from Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) at RMIT University, Melbourne in 2006, Neil embarked on a career in marketing and communications within the retail industry; a time of dramatic change that saw the rise of ecommerce and the dawn of social media.

Following nearly a decade of global brand management, Neil began exploring his passion for design by consulting to some of Melbourne’s leading design practices. By 2016 he had established his eponymous marketing office with a vision for “elevating the value of design and its potential for positive impact”.

Whilst initially focused on the built environment, today the office of ten works with clients across broad expressions of design in architecture, arts and culture, industrial design, consumer goods, and visual communications. In 2023 NHO became B Corp certified.

Neil, whose interests beyond design include travel, food and culture, is renowned for a creative yet commercial approach, balancing pragmatic business imperatives with respect for the principles of creative practice. He lives in South Melbourne with his husband Ash and dreams of one day dividing his time between Melbourne and his second love, Stockholm.
