Tra Mi Dinh is an award-winning choreographer and dance artist. Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance) and as the recipient of the Orloff Family Charitable Trust Scholarship for Most Outstanding Dancer, she has worked with leading companies including Lucy Guerin Inc and Stephanie Lake Company, while establishing her own choreographic voice.

Tra Mi’s choreographic work is driven by an unrelenting fascination with time & transformation; harnessing the dancing body to magnify & disrupt our experience of linearity, tension, & expectation. Her duet work The ___ won the 2022 Keir Choreographic Award, leading to commissions with Sydney Dance Company (Continuum 2025 & New Breed 2023), Lucy Guerin Inc (PIECES 2024) and the Sydney Opera House (Shortwave 2024). Tra Mi’s practice has also been supported through residencies at Bundanon, Australian Dance Theatre, Critical Path, Lucy Guerin Inc, DirtyFeet, ReadyMade Works, Tasdance, Sydney Fringe, March Dance, Ausdance NSW and The Substation, and she received the Chloe Munro Fellowship in 2022.

Tra Mi is also a keen member of the Australian dance ecology, cultivating community through initiatives like DRIP (Dancers Relaxing In the Park), an event for dancers to connect outside the studio or theatre foyer, and her recent Dancers are Dancing Series intensive and masterclasses.
