Alisha McLennan Marler is an acclaimed Aotearoa/New Zealand dancer, choreographer and educator, and a long-standing member of the inclusive contemporary dance company Touch Compass. Known for her powerful physicality — working in and out of the wheelchair, on the floor and in the air — she challenges perceptions of who can dance and how bodies communicate. Alisha is the creator of the disability-led solo WHITE NOISE, an intimate and provocative work exploring communication, motherhood and the agency to craft one’s own narrative, which she is also performing at Alter State.
