Class today is Classical Ballet w/ Paul Knobloch

A professional ballet class focused on technique, musicality, and artistry. Combining barre and center work, with choreographic combinations aimed to develop strength and fexibility with a strong awareness to freedom of movement and performance quality.

The class includes a warm-up to prepare the body, barre work focusing on alignment, turnout, and port de bras, center work to develop balance and musicality, adagio and allegro sequences to build slow, controlled strength and quick footwork, combinations to inspire musicality, rhythm, and expression, turns and pirouette practice for stability and spotting, a cool-down with stretching, and ongoing instructor feedback. All in a fun, super supportive, and encouraging environment.

The class may include optional Pointe work and is suitable for dancers from intermediate to professional levels who bring a
firm understanding of classical technique. Movers from adjacent backgrounds who are ready to deepen their
technique, artistry, and performance readiness in classical Ballet are also welcome.

About Paul Knobloch

Paul Knobloch is an Australian choreographer and ballet repetiteur with an extensive career in stage, film, and television. He has danced with leading companies worldwide, including The Australian Ballet, Bejart Ballet Lausanne, English National Ballet, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, West Australian Ballet, and Sydney Dance Company. His repertoire spans leading classical roles and collaborations on new works with celebrated choreographers. As a choreographer, he is critically acclaimed and has been commissioned by companies across Australia, Europe, Canada, and the United States. Honoured in 2001 as ACT Young Australian of the Year, he remains dedicated to inspiring dancers around the world.
