Yui’s class is a space for contemporary dancers to connect to strength and softness through ballet technique. Together we will renew connection to an experience of length in our bodies.

About Yuiko Masukawa
Yui Masukawa is a dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Melbourne. Yui was a principal dancer with Melbourne City Ballet for 7 years from 2012-2019, performing principal roles across national and international tours. Yui is a WAAPA grad and was invited to the Beijing International Ballet Competition. She also devises movement in varied contemporary art contexts working with Garry Stewart, Bec Reid, Harrison Hall, Madeleine Flynn & Tim Humphrey.

These ballet classes are aimed at offering the benefits of technical ballet classes to contemporary dancers. All LGI Morning Classes are open to ex-dancers, students at a tertiary level, recent graduates and current professionals. Previous dance experience is advised as classes are taught at intermediate/advanced level.
