Class today is Contemporary Dance w/ Ben Hurley
Warm up and strengthen the body and mind with different contemporary dance techniques, somatic practices and experiential physical methodologies. Starting slowly, you will find a body-mind-breath connection, then work through the spine and core. Class will include improvisational practices and set movement material. You will build up to a phrase/dance—exploring transference of weight and traversing through space with intricate choreography.
Class may include movement set to counts, working through varying rhythms, the use of the voice, different image-based explorations and contact/duo work. Ben may also weave yoga movement and philosophy into the class..

This class is catered towards professional dancers, current students, and people with experience in working with their body. However, it is suitable for anyone with a willing attitude and keen interest in learning different dance techniques.
