Class today is Contemporary Dance w/ Brooke Stamp
Stamp’s class invites somatic and speculative visualisation—with a focus on forces, rhythm, and phrasing. It encourages dancers to experience dance at the organal, elemental and spatial registers. Informed by a rich history of improvisational and post-modern practice, Stamp’s class will traverse experimentality and formality and motivate dancers to work with purpose.
The class will include exploration of improvisational strategies as well as phrase material.
This class is suitable for trained dancers, and for those who wish to expand and challenge their understanding of contemporary dance.
