Caroline’s class aims to prepare the mind and body for sensitive, imaginative, engaged movement practice.
Beginning with an emphasis on tuning the attention to find balance and softness, we then move on to phrase material that explores dynamic shifts, rhythmic phrasing and a playful blend of technical rigour and personal expression.
Caroline is our current artist in residence, working alongside Alice Dixon and William McBride at WXYZ Studios.
About Caroline Meaden
Caroline is a choreographer and performer working across dance, theatre and live art contexts.
As one third of Alice Will Caroline she creates multi-layered choreographic pieces incorporating theatre, design, dance and music. As a performer she has worked with Phillip Adams Balletlab, Michelle Heaven, Nat Cursio Co., Shelley Lasica and Monica Bill Barnes & Company among others.
Contemporary Dance Class at WXYZ Studios:
LGI Morning Classes are open to ex-dancers, students at a tertiary level, recent graduates and current professionals. Previous dance experience is advised as classes are taught at intermediate/advanced level.
