About the Feldenkrais Method
In the Feldenkrais Method, we explore novel connections between our movement sensation and the image of each minute component of the movement in our consciousness.
Bringing cognisance to the habitual through curiosity, exploration and attention, this practice provides an opportunity for expanding one’s self image and providing tools for self-care. More like a movement meditation, this profound somatic practice can deepen a dancer’s embodied wisdom and provide a new perspective on learning how to learn about your body and yourself.
Commitment to all four sessions is requested as the series seeks to build knowledge across the series. Each session includes a 45-minute led practice followed by an opportunity for a discussion about that session’s focus area.
