Led by dance artist Leah Landau, ‘Notebookness’ is a two-part workshop for dancers and choreographers, exploring ways to work with the artist notebook.

‘Notebookness’ explores ways of being with the artist notebook—both current and old; many books and one; analogue and digital.

Open to dancers and choreographers at all stages of practice, you will work independently, alongside other participants with your notebook(s).

You will learn practical tools for working with notebooks and note-taking, including compiling index/glossaries, using colour as time codes, numbering pages and navigating ‘data versus information’. Leah will also share more subtle ways of paying attention while working—attuning to levels of focus, distance and scale.

You will also have the opportunity to share what you have found and listen to each other’s processes and learnings.
