Class today is Yoga w/ Antonio Rinaldi

Antonio’s yoga class draws upon his working knowledge of dancer’s body and aims to generate a sense of warmth, invigoration and recovery. You are invited to come as you are, and to invest in and cultivate energy from the earth. Following a grounding practice, you will flow through a variety of asanas (postures) designed to access and engage the mind and body and enliven the soul. Antonio’s practice is borne from Ashtanga, and class may include the use of Sanskrit language, shifting of limbs, and seamless transitioning from one asana to another. Expect a wicked soundscape too.

This class is catered towards professional dancers, current students and people with experience in working with their body. However, it is suitable for anyone with a willing attitude.

Antonio Rinaldi is a Melbourne-based arts practitioner with roots in dance and dance theatre. He has performed and taught both nationally and internationally; some of his accolades include Punchdrunk, Maxine Doyle, Co3, STRUT/Forsythe Foundation and Opera Australia. As a creative he is invested in the process of the grotesque, the romantic, the narrative structure and the offerings during creative interludes. He is a big believer in creative gestation. He aims to foster and nurture the body in a non-judgemental manner when in practice with yoga and loves a good roast supper.
