Experience five duets from the archive of the leading Australian choreographer Lucy Guerin. Performed by exceptional women, these duets have formed a thematic through-line in Lucy’s choreographic thinking, spanningover two decades. Each duet explores the tension between opposing ideas, engaging in a dynamic dialogue that reflects the search for resolution in a world marked by conflict.

Presented consecutively over three hours, audiences may choose to watch one duet or stay for all.

NEWRETRO 21 WORKS

NEWRETRO DUETS can be placed alongside NEWRETRO 21 WORKS, a screen-based installation featuring archival video documentation from 21 of LGI’s past works, displayed on 21 television screens. Together, they offer a rich exploration of recurring themes throughout Guerin’s career, highlighting how these ideas evolve and resurface over time in a lifelong artistic journey.
